1、 There are several types of diesel generator sets and cabinets:
Manual cabinet merging: a system that uses traditional lighting methods to merge machines.
Semi automatic parallel cabinet: manually operate the generator set to start and stop, manually operate the opening and closing keys of the parallel cabinet system, and automatically complete the parallel and disconnection control.
Automatic parallel cabinet: a parallel system that automatically starts, stops, and decouples units with or without control from the mains power supply, and automatically distributes loads.
Fully automatic parallel cabinet: On the basis of automatic parallel cabinet, PLC is used to complete the logic work of automatic input and parallel connection, automatic disconnection, and shutdown of multiple units can (often referred to as peak shaving).
Three remote parallel system: A parallel system that uses a dedicated microcontroller system to complete the communication connection between the parallel cabinet and generator set and the PC.
2、 Product features:
The structure is simple and aesthetically pleasing. The biggest advantage is that it is easy to operate and can teach electricians who have never been in contact with generator sets or parallel cabinets to operate them in the shortest possible time.
Fully functional, with overcurrent, overvoltage, and reverse power protection. Machine fault protection and other functions shall be strictly implemented in accordance with GB/T2820 standards.
3、 Generator and cabinet performance:
Fully automatic control parallel operation, manual selection control:
1. Automatic control and parallel operation:
Manually start one of the power transmission motors (if necessary, two can also be started simultaneously and power can be transmitted after parallel operation). When this machine is fully loaded, the next one will automatically start parallel operation and power will be evenly distributed. When the load drops, the generator can automatically shut down one of the motors, and after 30 seconds of cooling operation, it will automatically shut down and return to automatic standby mode. Powered by one of them.
2. Manual selection control:
The generator can be manually operated and started on the parallel cabinet, and can be operated automatically or manually. The number of starting units can be manually controlled or the load size can be controlled.
3. Protection function:
Overcurrent protection, reverse power protection, automatic tracking synchronization, quasi synchronous closing and parallel protection.
4、 The function and use of automatic cabinet merging
Introduction to Parallel Cabinet
The SMBC series fully automatic or automatic parallel device is a specialized device designed and manufactured specifically for parallel operation of diesel generator sets.
Suitable for parallel operation of 2 or more diesel generator sets with electronic speed controllers. If the diesel generator set is mechanically regulated, an electronic governor needs to be installed.
The core components of this device are synchronizers and load splitters from GAC Corporation in the United States, PLG from Siemens or Mitsubishi (optional), ORMON from Japan, high-quality electrical components from domestic manufacturers, and imported or domestic brand air switches. They have been optimized and designed by professional senior engineers. This device has the characteristics of complete functionality, reliable operation, and easy maintenance.
? Function Introduction
Automatic parallel connection: After the unit is successfully started, power is sent to the parallel connection cabinet. When parallel connection is required, the synchronizer detects the signal and applies electric regulation to automatically adjust the frequency and phase of the unit to be connected to the busbar, issuing a parallel connection signal and applying the air switch to close and parallel.
1. Automatic load allocation:
After two or more units are connected in parallel, the units begin to operate with load, and the load distributor will use electric regulation to distribute the load proportionally based on the power of the units.
2. Peak shaving: (optional)
When two or more units are running in parallel, the number of operating units can be increased or decreased according to the magnitude of the load rate when the load changes. Generally, when the load rate is below 35%, the units will be disconnected, and when the load rate is above 80%, the units will be started and connected in parallel to ensure that the units operate in the most economical state. This function requires the generator set to have a self starting function in order to complete it.
3. Protection function:
A: Synchronous protection;
B: Reverse power protection;
C: Overcurrent and short circuit protection (completed by protectors);
D: Overvoltage and undervoltage protection (optional).
4. Indicator instrument:
A: Voltage meter;
B: Ammeter;
C: Frequency table;
D: Power meter;
E: Power factor meter:
F: Synchronization indicator (for observation during parallel operation);

3. Quality assurance
12 months from the date of manufacture. All damages caused by the quality of manufactured components shall be repaired or replaced by our company.
6、 Installation and debugging:
1. The cabinet should be installed indoors and buried on a concrete seat with channel steel. The cabinet should be no less than 0.8m away from the wall and reliably grounded.
2. The cables connected to the generator set and the cables output to the load should be firmly connected and comply with the specifications of electrical engineering.
3. The generator set should first undergo no-load and load tests on a single machine to ensure good performance and meet the requirements. Proceed to the next step of parallel debugging.
When running alone, the AVR of the generator needs to be connected to a differential adjustment component to achieve a voltage regulation rate of about -2.5%, and the voltage and frequency adjustments are sensitive.
4. Check the phase sequence of each generator set to ensure it is the same.
5. Connect the control wires between the generator set and the parallel cabinet according to the drawing requirements.
6. Start each generator set separately, deliver power to the grid cabinet, and adjust the voltage and frequency of the generator sets to ensure even variation.
The emergency stop and fault tripping functions should be tested to ensure reliable operation.
7. Parallel operation debugging: After the single machine debugging is completed, the unit can be parallel operated without load, and the voltage and frequency can be adjusted to ensure that the circulating current of the unit after parallel operation is 0 or less than 3% of the rated current. The unit can be operated smoothly without circulating current for 3-5 minutes, and can be operated with load at a load rate of about 30-50%. Adjust the load distributor to distribute the load proportionally, adjust the adjustment link to balance the power factor of the unit, and run for about 15 minutes without any change in load distribution, unloading, or splitting. Perform peak load regulation test again, select the main engine, start the main engine, power on, and load up to about 80%. The backup engine should start, automatically merge, and automatically distribute the load. When the load reduction is below 35%, the standby machine should be disconnected and shut down.
7、 Operating instructions for merging cabinets:
Each control cabinet of the diesel generator set has automatic/manual functions, and users can switch freely according to their usage
(1) Automatic parallel operation:
1. Start parallel operation: Start the generator set, close the air switch of the generator set (if any), send power to the parallel cabinet, adjust the frequency and voltage so that the voltage (not exceeding 5V) and frequency (not exceeding 0.1Hz) of the two units are consistent. The unit should automatically merge within 30 seconds. After successful merging, turn the merge selection switch to the 0 position.
A. Automatic parallel operation
(1) Release the emergency stop switch on the unit.
(2) Place the knob of the unit controller in the "automatic" position.
(3) Manually close the air switch on the unit.
(4) Place the switch on the control panel of the parallel cabinet in the "Auto" and "Parallel" positions.
(5) Turn the key switch to automatic mode, and the unit will start simultaneously. When the unit is successfully started and the voltage reaches 380V, the parallel switch of Unit 1 automatically closes. At this time, the system performs automatic synchronization adjustment of the unit. After a few seconds of adjustment, the system sends a synchronization command signal, and the "synchronization command indication" light is on. At this time, the parallel switch of Unit 2 closes, and the two units run in parallel to supply power to the load.
(6) System load operation. (Conducted in the user's power supply system)
(7) System uninstallation operation. (Conducted in the user's power supply system)
(8) Rotate the key switch to the "stop" position, and both parallel switches will open simultaneously.
(9) The unit stopped after three minutes of unloading and cooling operation.
(10) Press the emergency stop switch and promptly disconnect the output air switch on the unit.
B. Manual (only operated in case of single machine failure)
(1) Release the emergency stop switch on the unit.
(2) Place the switch on the control panel of the parallel cabinet in the "manual" and "test" positions.
(3) Place the knob of the unit controller in the "manual" position, and the unit will start.
(4) Observe the operating parameters of the unit controller and confirm that they are normal before manually closing the unit output switch.
(5) Press the closing button and turn on/off the machine switch.
(6) Perform single machine operation with load. (Conducted in the user's power supply system)
(7) System uninstallation operation. (Conducted in the user's power supply system)
(8) After three minutes, place the knob on the unit controller in the "off" position
(2) Split and parallel operation: When the load drops below 35%, the standby unit can be disconnected by pressing the disconnect button. After running empty for 3-5 minutes, the unit can be shut down, and the other unit can run alone or be disconnected and shut down.
(3) Fault shutdown: When the unit sends fault signals such as high water temperature and low oil pressure to the parallel cabinet, causing the parallel cabinet to disconnect, the fault indicator light will turn on. At this point, the load will be added to another unit, and if the load is too high, it will cause the operating unit to shut down. In case of malfunction and shutdown, the load should be immediately reduced to the range that one unit can bear. Shutdown due to malfunction and investigate the cause before resuming operation.
(4) Emergency shutdown: When there is a significant circulating current during the parallel operation of two units and it cannot be eliminated, the circuit breaker should be disconnected. When there are significant fluctuations in current, voltage, and frequency, the emergency stop button can be pressed to disconnect and stop the train.
(5) Peak shaving operation: Select the host, start the host, power on, and carry the load. The host group determines whether to run in parallel or individually based on the load size.
