Calculation method for fuel consumption of diesel generator sets

Recently, many diesel generator customers have asked about the calculation of fuel consumption for diesel generators. Due to the varying fuel consumption rates of different brands of diesel engines, it is difficult to have a unified statement. Generally speaking, the fuel consumption of diesel generators is related to the following two factors:
1、 The fuel consumption rate varies among different brands of diesel generator sets;
2、 The size of the electrical load, the larger the load, the higher the throttle, the higher the fuel consumption, and the smaller the load, the lower the relative fuel consumption.
Instructions for converting fuel consumption calculation units for diesel generators:
1L (liter)=1000ML (milliliter)
1L (liter)=1 liter
1KW=1000W
1KG (kilograms)=1000G (grams)=1L (liters)
1G (grams)=0.001L (liters)
Note: Under the same specific gravity, the ratio of water to diesel is approximately 1: 0.84-0.86, so one liter of diesel is equal to 0.84-0.86 kilograms, and 1L is about 0.85 kilograms.

Most manufacturers of diesel generators use G/KW. H as their parameter, which refers to how many grams of oil are consumed per kilowatt hour. By converting this unit to liters, you can immediately know how many liters of oil you have consumed and how much money you have spent per hour; Some manufacturers also directly tell L/H, which means how many liters of fuel are consumed per hour
